You are charged with organising the transport if you purchased or won the bid for a machine, vehicle or other goods. Hämmerle provides "Transport” services since not everyone has sufficient experience in this area. Our experienced team will find the appropriate solution for transporting your goods. No matter whether passenger cars, construction machinery, boilers or another object – there is no faster or more efficient way to switch sites than with Hämmerle.

Which services does transport by Hämmerle include?

Note that the Hämmerle service does not include packaging, loading and delivery. Hämmerle GmbH & Co. KG exclusively specialises in transport planning.

You can either collect the item yourself or hire a third party. We are happy to provide transport recommendations and seek out the appropriate forwarding company for your situation. However, you yourself are the client. You are responsible for the safe transport of assets and must provide the vehicles for the transport.

If possible, we will advise you in regard to dimensions, weight, etc., which must be taken into account for the transport. We also support you in word and deed in regard to operating materials and hazardous substances. You may have to independently obtain further supplemental information and convey this information to the forwarding company. Of course, these aspects must also be taken into account for independent transportation.

What must be taken into consideration?

  Hämmerle GmbH und Co. KG does not guarantee the availability of necessary loading and lifting equipment. Note that the equipment owner must authorise the usage of ceiling cranes, forklifts and other possible existing equipment. Furthermore, only trained personnel can operate such machines.

  You are charged with obtaining necessary lifting and loading equipment for the transport if this equipment is not available. Of course, we can also supply you with helpful addresses in this regard.

  We also support you in the processing of customs formalities. You are, however, not exempt from all obligations: The machines to be transported must be labelled and classified. Furthermore, information on weights and dimensions must also be stated on customs documents. The forwarding company must be integrated in the customs papers if you commission such a company with transportation beyond national borders.

What else has to be taken into account?

  International transports can be executed in various ways. Besides delivery by truck, the most common means of transportation is sea freight.
•  
  The machine is cleared for transport by road, rail or via inland waterways if the object to be transported contains transmission oil and the oil is contained in a closed system.
•  
  The situation is different for transportation by sea. The specific type of liquid must first be determined. It may well be the case that the machine is subject to the Hazardous Material Regulations – Sea. In this case, all regulations of the ordinance must be followed. You may have to contact the agency of the water protection police in this regard.
