Globensteiner Holzwerkstätten in preliminary insolvency proceedings

At the beginning of last week, the managing director of Globensteiner Holzwerkstätten GmbH, Mr. Frank Flemming, filed an application with the local court in Chemnitz for the opening of insolvency proceedings. By decision of 14 March 2019, the competent insolvency judge ordered the restructuring specialist lawyer Dr. Jörg Schädlich from the law firm Stapper Jacobi Schädlich Rechtsanwälte as an expert and at the same time provisional insolvency administrator. The law firm specializes in reorganizations, restructurings and insolvency administrations and is present with nine locations predominantly in the eastern German states.

Business continues unrestricted

Business operations will continue unrestricted until further notice. At the same time, Dr. Harmful with his team's business operations from a business perspective. The workforce, consisting of about 30 employees, was also informed in a first company meeting and informed about the subject of bankruptcy money, which ensures wages and salaries up to and including April. The ultimate goal, according to the provisional insolvency administrator, is to find a sustainable reorganization solution and bring business operations back into safe waters.

HÄMMERLE as a valuation company

n order to evaluate the existing technical equipment and machines, the industry-specific operating and office equipment and the existing inventories, HÄMMERLE GmbH & Co. KG was appointed by the provisional insolvency administrator as a specialist for such short-term required inventories and expert appraisals. Just 48 hours after the order was placed, the regional contact person of the evaluation company was on site. On the following day, an expert expert immediately carried out the corresponding property survey.

With the support of HÄMMERLE, the provisional insolvency administrator will now examine whether the medium-sized company can also be continued profitably in the long term.
